Amiga Shiela

Al the optimist

Veteran Member
When I went to the Pilgrim Office recently I was delighted to find that an Amiga there was one I saw on my first visit! Sheila from Ireland! I often tell of how my voice starting to break down while talking to her after receiving my first compostela after walking the Ingles. It was a great delight to see her again and also the next day at the English Mass. Bless you for your efforts Sheila.

Al,
Hate to break this to you but you are just the latest pilgrim to be gaffed by the Pilgrim's Office.
Here's how it goes..there's an Amigo in the line of pilgrims waiting to get their Compostela. While the Amigo "chats you up" they find out where you hail from...in your case Australia. Now, I ask you...what girl's name would make you feel all warm and fuzzy: Sheila!!! Comprendo.
Just kidding
I keep hoping to find a long, legged Blond South African waiting for me.

@dougfitz , naaa he's just fair skinned like a blonde if you look really close you can see he' s red complection kinda peaches and cream if you taken my meaning, and the poor lads been bitten almost to death by them critters in his hotel bed have a little sympathy if you can mate. It's not easy for the cobber and he's meeting his Sheila this coming week as well !

PilgrimB,
In all honesty, I both found and lost the most beautiful, intelligent woman, I've ever known. Ida (Gertruida) was both South African and my wife. She fought off cancer for 9 years, passing at 52; still young looking, beautiful and, yes, long legged too. A baie mooi plaas meisie.

Ah. Bless. Sheila is her real name not an antipodean generality cobbers! Also it was not a greeting experience the first time but met her and a nice Irish bloke (her husband maybe) as I did so as I left. This time she was (although not the one who issued my compostela) one of those working behind the desks. If she reads this I would like her to know that a pm would give me great pleasure to repeat how much joy her warm nature is appreciated.
