@Juanma, former hospitalero in Ponte Ferreira and A Nave (on the first stage out of Lugo) has sent me some links to new places on the Primitivo. I was as surprised as he was. On the Roman Road out of San Román, there is this place, the Lar de Alecrín. Not a pilgrim place specifically, but right smack dab on the Camino. I don’t think that is a coincidence. It is totally renovated from what was a few years ago a place in ruins. A stone’s throw away is the Casa Rural Isaura de Pena. No website, just on booking. And then just a km further on, a hotel with a pool! Hotel O Cruce do Burgo.

I last walked the Primitivo in 2021 and did not notice a lot of new places. Since I walked the Friol variant, I didn’t get to see these places, so this may all be old news. Maybe the uptick in development is limited to the specific stage where all three are located. But man, it looks like the Primitivo is upping its game in the luxury column.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
