almost as exciting as a pilgrimage

Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
When we were in Santiago I happened upon a store selling gorgeous cotton - the likes of which we can't get in NZ, and certainly not for the price it was there. I had spent many a walking hour wondering how I could create a blanket to capture our camino experience....the colours called out to me and I bought a good many balls to make a blanket full of ripples like the hills and water.
I am nearly finished making it and I have that "almost arrived in Santiago" feeling - the end is near and excitement is growing. I have been documenting the journey of the blanket in photos and pairing them with photos from our camino - a book is in the making as well as a blanket to snuggle under! That's nearly done too and I love it almost as much as my journals.
Last week we took a trip to the mountains and Camino Blanket went along too. How Very Appropriate!
Soon the journey will be over. And we will be left with just memories.CB (22).webp IMG_2258.webp CB (9).webp we walked (220).webp

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Loving the sentiment behind this idea.
Buen Camino
