Almost 41 000 compostela in first 6 months

La Voz de Galicia, reported yesterday that almost 41000 compostelas were given out in the first 6 months of this year. This is up about 9000 from last year.

Remember that not all pilgrims get a compostela!

Some stats (first 6 months 2007):
Spain - 16260
Germany - 6952
France - 3226
Italy - 2715
