We have had amazing experiences at all the albergues and municipal albergues, but the two best ones we have stayed at this far, include:

San Nicholas in Larrosoaña.
Santa Brígida in Hontanas.

These two places were brand new (just opened within the last year), immaculately clean and organized. The owners cared so much about the pilgrims. If you want a comfortable, clean, quiet, affordable experience. Look into these two albergues.

Any one else have amazing experiences similar to these places.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Albergues that stand out! It could be the time and season, the company, the way you felt. (Hunger is the best sauce and fatigue the softest bed). There are some splendid Albergues so this could be a very good thread! keep sending your news. This year I walk the coast from Porto. My go-to each camino is in Santiago where all routes met. It for now, will remain nameless, as I want some space for myself at the end of May.

The one I'm in right now!:)
It could be one of many but happens to be Liberanos Domine in Rabé de las Calzadas. Recommended by others here and I can see why.
Thanks for the idea about Santa Brigada, @beck_clause, a short day from here but I'm not in a hurry.
The sun is out even though it's windy and cold. Happy happy to be here!
Happy Easter and buen Camino everyone!

Indeed, the Santa Brigada in Hontanas meets and exceeds the recommendation by the OP!

Yes, definitely! Sitting in one of the room of Albergue Brigida right now, after first day on Meseta. Outstanding quality for bedding, showers, food prepared, attitude and kindness. Three pilgrims who met on the Camino last year and decided to create this beautiful home away from home with restauration, little shop, garden, just after church on left. Love it.

This year we've booked into the Paradors in Leon and SdC - do they count as albergues?
