I have walked the French and Portuguese way before so familiar enough and really looking forward to a short 6 days walking
Quick question !! Are the albergues very busy .. is it difficult to get accommodation
I love to stay in the albergues and I know I can’t book ahead neither would I want to
Any info gratefully received

Hospital can be a pinch-point for accommodation as it is where the two Camino Ingles routes converge- the route that starts in O Coruña and the one that starts in Ferrol. Just two albergues in the village, one municipal and one private. The private one ( Albergue San Lorenzo) is bookable and is very good ( I stayed there a few weeks ago)

In a pinch, the Hotel Canaima up on the main road almost always has rooms available. Breakfast included, in 2019 it was a full breakfast. The owner used to pick you up from the Muni if you called. After the muni, most likely place to see Pilgrims. Easy to get back to the Camino, maybe 10 mins out of the way.

Well if you don’t want to book it’s a moot point but you can book ahead in non-municipal albergues. As mentioned above, Hospital de Bruma is famous for having more pilgrims than beds, so if you don’t want to book, be prepared to get there early for a bed in the muni.
