Hello! :)

I am leaving tomorrow for my first camino (Camino Portugal - Seaside route or Senda Litoral). I have gathered accommodation information from various sources (CSJ book, spreadsheet etc). I prefer to stay in albergue as possible. wondering whether reservations are necessary for this less common route.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! :)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hmm. Assuming you're starting in Porto/Matosinhos, there may be some shortage of albergues going that way. Though we only did the beach to Vila do Conde, and we stayed at a pension there. I'm not sure if there is an albergue there. The next day we went more inland. Perhaps if you look in the threads about the Camino Portugues there will be more info for you.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Yes, I will be walking from Porto and searched the CP coast route subforums - And there aren't many comments about the availability of albergue/accommodation for the routes.

Book for the first night or two, you will then get a sense of how busy things are and if you need to keep booking.

Sounds like a solid advice. Don't want to get stressed by not finding albergues for the first couple of days :)

The only albergue I would book at is Casa Fernanda, which is very popular due to it's great ambience, wonderful meals (communal) and generous hosts. If you plan to not arrive late, you should not need to book at other alberues

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thank you all :) I am at 2nd day of camino and (Santa clara albergue at Vila do Conde) so far so good. No reservations were needed.

I might have to consider reservation when I reach Spanish coast...

Hi, I am trying to book at Pilgrims Nest/Ninho and I have a What's App phone number of +351 916 866 372 but no response and I tried calling and it sounds like a bad number. I also had this number...
