We would like to inform that the Albergue de S. Pedro de Rates has reopened.

Unfortunately and for the time being it will not be run under the group of volunteers that have over the years done exemplary work there.

So, it sounds like this is more of a political issue than a financial issue. But still, as Portia mentioned in an earlier post, if there are things that pilgrims outside Portugal can do to support the staff, the albergue, or whatever else might be appropriate, let us know, Helena.
