I'm trying to figure out the specifics of purchasing my ticket to do the Camino.

The carriers I am investigating have a "one month maximum" on their flight specials, which doesn't fit into my forty day itinerary. I might also extend my trip based on how I'm feeling to venutre into other areas.

I imagine some here have had experience juggling their return date or using an open ended ticket?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

One of the best possibilities I have found is to take Aer Lingus from JFK to Dublin and Ryanair from there to Biaritz and then the train to SJPdP. Ryanair has a Dublin flight from Madrid for the return. It looks like there is no problem with a 30 day minimum for either airline.

Hi there,

I looked at the British Airways page (selecting USA as my home country) and I was able to look-up a round trip with BA from NY to Madrid with a 5 week stay in Madrid. It did not seem to have a problem with the 1 month issue that you mention.

Price was not too bad either... for example 1.Feb 2007 returning 8th of March (random dates that I choose), $305 + taxes ($277 (!)) = $582,-

Might be worth a look... :-)

Un saludo,
Ivar

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
If you can afford it (and I'm leaning this way as well), book a fully refundable Y class ticket. That way, if you have to change your return date, you get your $ back, with the possibility of getting bumped up to business class.

Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
