Ages - Albergue el Pajar

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
It's quite a nice property, especially since the 2020 remodel. I'm hoping someone snaps it up soon and reopens. There is good information on the albergue and the potential for purchase here.

I received a message from the owner of Albergue el Pajar in Ages today. He is retiring and looking to sell his place. As a result, he will not be open. If the albergue does open, it will be with new owners. It is a shame - I liked that place.
Sorry to hear that news.... I recall it as a lovely welcoming resting place on my novice year as a pilgrim....so I checked my Pilgrim Passport.. I was there on 17th April 2008.....that was 16 years ago..when I was a callow youth of 62......I hope it reopens....

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
