Planning to hike the Portuguese Way from Porto to Santiago in May 2018
Hello all,Combarro

I'm entering the real planning stage for my Camino in the Spring. Most have told me that if I plan on taking the Spiritual Variant, to plan for 14 days. The map I worked out online has me getting through it in roughly 11. This makes me think that the map isn't accounting for terrain or difficulty, but I really don't know. I was hoping that those of you that have done this route with the Variant might be able to point out areas that would be unrealistic as far as distance in a day or other issues. Here are the stages:

1. Porto - Vila do Conde
2. Vila do Conde - Barcelos
3. Barcelos - Ponte de Lima
4. Ponte de Lima - Valencia
5. Valencia - Redondela
6. Redondela - Pontevedra
7. Pontevedra - Armenteira
8. Armenteira - Vilanova de Arousa
9. Vilanova de Arousa - Padron
10. Padron - Santiago

This feels far quicker than should be realistic, so please let me know where I might need to be taking an extra day or two. Thank you!
