Advice for Biarritz to SJPdP

Hi all,

I arrive into Biarritz tomorrow (Sept 12th) on a Ryanair flight scheduled to land at 3.05pm. As far as I can see there are two trains that evening/afternoon to SJPdP - one at 3:37pm and another at 6:41pm.

I'm not bad at improbable deadlines but I suspect I won't be able to make it from the airport to the train station in time for the 3.37pm train. (I don't have an EU passport so am used to waiting in airports...)

What I'd like to ask for advice on is whether you would wait for the 6.41pm train (which then gets to SJPdP at 8pm) or if you would find an alternative route. Perhaps with Express Burricot?

Many thanks all,

John.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The train ride is very scenic, if that makes a difference to you.

Horses for courses, as falcon says, the train ride is scenic, and a lot cheaper than taxi/Express Bourricot ( even if you join up with others, a taxi from Biarritz airport to St Jean will cost 100 euros, split between 4, whereas the bus from airport to Bayonne is 1 euro, and the train about 10.
Taxi will get you there quicker, but should still be plenty of time to sort our a bed for the night if you take the evening train....
