Hello all,

I'm looking for recommendations for a budget Hotel/Hostel near Chamartin station.

thanks
David

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Not much that is cheap in the area - we stayed at Hostal Faifes once, which was pretty basic, but clean enough.

Go to Booking.com and enter your parameters. You can easily find the price, accommodation level and distance from the station. I used this service, tramping all over Spain, with a week in Madrid. Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Heidi's right, there is not much (or anything) cheap in that area, just a couple of modern hotels. Here are a few other discussions of this

As I said in one of those other threads, Madrid is so well communicated by public transportation that you probably will be fine staying elsewhere and just hopping on the metro or the Cercanías to get to Chamartin. Buen camino, Laurie

It's such a quick train ride, why not just stay in Madrid near Atocha?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
