Well, it's in between two of the typical Norte etapas, so I am guessing less than Lourenza and Abadin, but it has an albergue. Why?

Is Mondonedo a popular overnight stop on the way?

Hi, I stopped in Mondonedo and liked it very much even though it was raining hard! My 2 friends and I got there about 2pm and veered into the Hostal-Restaurante Padornelo, on the left as you walk in, dripping wet. We stopped for menu del dia and didn’t get any further . . . . checked into a room each(!) for 24 euros pp including breakfast. The next morning, still raining, we arrived at the fabulous cathedral just as it opened at 10am. We went in and after looking around we were given a lovely cathedral sello (stamp). We had a second breakfast (!) in one of the cafes overlooking the cathedral plaza, expecting it to be expensive because of the location, but it wasn’t at all. Great place, would definitely stop there again. Jill
