I don't want to stay in the albergues in Redondela , has any one got the train back to Vigo for the night and then back to Redondela to start again the next day

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Why? Do you have bad experiences?

Is it possible to walk on to Arcade? There is a 10 bed private albergue which you may be able to book in advance if you feel you could walk that far.

I have not got the train from Vigo to Redondela but just had a look online and it seems they are quite frequent and take about 10 mins.

Buen Camino

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Its only 10 to 15 minutes to either Vigo or Ponteverda and a very short walk to both from Redondela, and everything I read about the place says nothing in it and i don't want to spend the best part of a day hanging around an empty town.
Both Vigo and Ponteverda both look intresting with plenty of cheap reasonable looking hotels

There are 2 train stations in Redondela, Picota is the old station and Redondela is the newer station on the outskirts up the hill. I think there is a regular regional service on renfe. We spent a couple of hours there catching the train from Santiago as we had passed through on the elevated railway line earlier and decided to have a look round, but just had coffees and returned to Santiago. Both Vigo and Pontevedra are worth a visit, Vigo also has a newer station not far from the sea, in Pontevedra the station is about a kilometre from the old part along the camino. Pontevedra was our day out after a recent Camino Ingles. Enjoy whatever you decide.
