We are a group of 4, starting the Camino Ingles from Ferrol arriving late evening on 10th October. We are currently looking for accomodation for our first night before we start the Camino. Do you have any suggestions? Also as for the Compostela, I've read that the office is not open before 10 am, is there any other way to get them maybe from hostels themselves?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
For the Credencial I would suggest that you get them here on the forum from Ivar. The tourist office has paper ones I believe but the hostals probably not. Also you are right, it does not open until 10.00 - and maybe not at the weekend in October.

If arriving on the bus or train then it is a short walk downhill to the Hotel Almendra (see booking.com). Reasonable price and pilgrim friendly. Nearer the port and the start is the Hostal Zahara. If you download Johnnie Walker's guide (link from the forum) it also has other suggestions.

If arriving at a weekend, as you are doing, then it is a good idea to book as there are 4 of you and it can be very busy in Ferrol on Friday and Saturday nights.
Buen Camino

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I took a taxi from the bus station to Covas, and stayed at the albergue there. It cost me about 12 Euro, but four pax with packs might be a bit tight! You need to let them know you are coming, and if you need a credential, in advance.

From my diary [on the web site] "....I was finally correctly directed to the Ferrol Tourist Information Office, sought advice on local hotels, and was directed to Hotel Magdalena in Rua Magdalena, where I booked myself in for two nights at the bargain price of €16 a night - an excellent price for an en suite room. "

Hope that may help.
Buen camino!

thanks alot for your feedback! I managed to find an available room in Hotel Silva. Price is good and it is supposed to be on the Camino path.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
Recently (April 2016) stayed at Hotel Silva. Clean, nice place. Inexpensive. Can eat breakfast in Hotel's bar. Pay laundry mat down the street. Ask desk person for directions to laundry mat.
Front desk staff were wonderful.
Starting the Camino: Take left out of hotel door. Turn left at corner. Then walk straight (crossing busy large street) till circle...pick up Camino from there.
First stop was Neda. Wonderful woman, and food, in Cafe there. Up hill from A'ber.
