Time of past OR future Camino
2021
Hey Everyone! Last year I walked from SJPDP to Santiago. One of the most enjoyable parts of a covid year was the freedom of not planning where my next stop would be. I didn't have to book ahead until the last 100km.

This year I'm planning to walk from Porto starting mid August. Would it be possible to do the same or is it a smarter option to pre book each night or even before I start?

Thanks!

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).

I'll be doing the same starting in September, so interested in others' thoughts.

I have just returned from walking Sarria to SDC with three family members. May/June 2022. We did not book ahead and only once, Palas de Rei did we have to walk on a few kilometres because we couldn't get in. I have done SJPDP to SDC twice and Camino da Costa pre Covid and never booked ahead. Hope this helps.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The Camino will provide. The time I have spent solo this season, I only booked places that are unique and it was advised to do so. 80%, no bookings.
