A pilgrimage article in The Telegraph

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.

I do like its overall accuracy, for instance it's overly unusual to see :

The Camino isn’t one route, it is legion. Ways of St James spider across Europe.

I do have one quibble. The author states :

The Camino demands simplicity. As Bennett states in his movie, your possessions are your burden. He recommends keeping your pack down to 10 per cent of your bodyweight.

... which is doubly misleading.

First, Bill tore down that notion pretty extensively in his original blog that led to the Book then the film, and I think the author has misjudged Bill's intended irony.

Second, the advice is only valid if you have no more than the height and weight of an "average man", so that it's especially valid for children and for many women who weigh less than that. It can be really bad advice if you're bigger and/or heavier than "average".

And, as usual (sigh) :

Will I get lost?

Probably not

The answer is of course, "Yes".

A pleasant balanced read.

Bonus points for anyone who can name the village in the second photo?
