Today was my last day of work and I'm heading out tomorrow. The journey begins. With a little luck I will make it the front door. All the planning, packing, repacking, jettisoning, reclaiming... Oy! Enough already. As a wise man once said, "Throw some crap in a bag and go!"
I'll be in Paris on the 12th if there are any pilgrims out there who want to meet up...
My trip is open ended. I am truly blessed that I can take the time that it takes.
Ultreya!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
So where are you going? The 10,000 caught my attention - I'd love to know!

It's actually a proverb by a philosopher from China Laozi I think and is found in the I Ching. It's really only 1000 miles according to the quote. It's right up there with, "And miles to go before I sleep" by Robert Frost

Sigh. Slightly disappointed.
I know the original 1,000 mile version - I thought you were embarking on a real epic journey that would take a year or more. Now that's coming out all wrong! Your journey will be great - it might even be epic. Do enjoy.

500 miles on foot is not epic enough for you? I've done some truly epic hikes and this one's right up there. The fact that I'm still alive to say so is no small wonder.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
