Perhaps a helpful tip. Leaving Saint Jean Pied de Port until say Puente La Reina or Estella, your backpack is finally packed and arranged properly for daily use, feels good on your back, your boots/shoes are in good shape, feel good, soft and dry your feet don’t hurt, 20-25k every day and looking good. After Burgos you still have a ways to go, 500k +-. You have read your Brierley or your app, and know where you want to stop, but how much further to walk today? Ah, it's time for my helpful tip. Three kilometers from the village in a non-hilly area you can see the church steeple. Two kilometers you can see the steeple bell-tower openings/windows at the top, One kilometer, sharp eyed pilgrims can see the bells. Almost there.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
