Camino francés (Col de Somport-Finisterre)
Hello,
I would like to walk 4-5 in days in may of the Camino Portugues with a Spanish friend. We don't know which part is the most beautiful, does anyone has a suggestion? I read Lissabon-Porto is not that interesting? It doesn't has to finish in Santiago; we both did the Camino Francés years ago. We would love to enjoy the quiet walks in nature and feel the special atmosphere of the camino again. We both have to take a flight so that makes it a bit more complicated. But I guess we could take a bus/train easily to Porto or Santiago?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Walk the caminho Portugues da Costa alongside the Atlantic ocean from Porto for a couple of days.
Or start in Barcelos Portugal , enjoy the landscape and the fantastic stay at casa da Fernanda in Vitorino dos Piaes. The best lodging address on the entire caminho Portugues with the real pilgrim atmosphere. Walk from there to Ponte de Lima , have a tough day climbing the Labruja hill to Rubiaes and end up in Valença do Minho and travel back to Porto or Vigo to go back home. It should be my choice.
Maybe you will meet me up somewhere there as my wife and I start just outside Porto this time.

Enjoy researching this route and see you around
Bom caminho

not a lot to add after Albertinho's advice; start in beautiful Barcelos, the town itself is worth a good visit, then Casa Fernanda, Ponte de Lima, Rubiaes, Valença do Minho.... Or, if you want to make it to Santiago, you can always start in Tui (or even better, across teh river in Valença do Minho) and make it to Santiago in 5 days.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
In 5 days you could make it from Barcelos to Redondela (circa 2okm per day), where it should be fairly easy to get to Vigo airport. I think this section has some of the best scenery in the Portuguese (at least the bit from Porto to Santiago).
From Porto you can take buses or train to Barcelos.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
I did what other people suggested and walked Barcelos-Valenca.
It is so beautiful, I can recommend this to anyone!
Thank you for the good advice and buen camino to all of you!

No I didn't..
We stayed at Tamel, which was a very nice beautiful albergue!!
The next day I met a girl from Brasil and she wanted to stay in Fernanda's, but it was already full. She said the woman was in a very bad mood, so she didn't feel very welcome anyway. It can happen.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Can't imagine Fernanda is in a bad mood. I know her for some years. Worked there as a hospitaleiro too . She allways tries to help people .
When I was there as hospitaleiro every night were up to 26 people in the house while there is place for max.20.
