Peter Kirchmann, German Camino blogger from
https://jakobsweg-lebensweg.de/pilgerstatistik-2022/ has diligently compiled statistics from the Oficina de Acogida al Peregrino and other sources into interesting graphics. The page is in German, but the images are understandable in any language.

Here the provenance of pilgrims by country:

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Muy interesante! Is there a way to remove all the data points for the last 100 km? I suspect that the numbers are skewed with all the pilgrims walking only the Sarria to Santiago section of the various caminos.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Unfortunately, the official stats from
https://catedral.df-server.info/est/peregrinaciones2021.pdf are not as detailed as one would wish and the numbers for the last year 2022 are not out yet. Perhaps, you contact Peter Kirchmann directly, as he may have some more info and might be able to help,

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi @pepi,

You may find this page [Full Stats since 2004] interesting. I update it with info from the Pilgrim's Office as soon as they publish new data. I also collect the daily arrivals of pilgrims since January 2022.

Let me know if you miss anything in case I can improve the graphs.

Buen Camino!

When the 2022 statistics summary is finally published you will be able to subtract those who started in Sarria (or Tui, Ferrol, Ourense or Lugo) from the totals. All places at or very close to the magical 100km limit. But is that really significant? Almost every time I have walked a very long pilgrimage I have met someone who has come a great deal further. I find distance a very crude and unhelpful measure of significance for a pilgrimage.

I'm not sure it is relevant for this particular graph, but I can think of other graphs where would be relevant, regardless of whether one considers distance a measure of significance. (Like you, I tend not to do so.)

For example, if one were looking at when are the busiest and least busy times of the year to walk the Frances, my recollection is that you get very different months if you look only at from Sarria vs only preceding Sarria, with the former being July and August and the latter May and September.
