Hi Sarah, I'm leaving St. Jean on Sep 10th for my first Camino. I've allowed plenty of time not planning to leave Spain until late October.

Hi David, my friends and I leave SJPP on 10th September also so maybe we'll see you on the way. If not, buen camino! We intend taking our time as well and haven't booked our return journeys yet.

I found the default language of pilgrims on the camino is English! At least when I went both times. However it is wonderful to see the reaction you get from shopkeepers and locals if you at least try a little? My very limited efforts usually resulted in a response back to me in English!

Hi Daniel, to be excited is normal but you don’t have to be scared. At the moment that you begin your journey you don’t be scared anymore. You will meet lots of other pilgrims along the way and making live time friendships.

Hi Aline , on my last Camino I walked several day's with 3 girls from Brazil. It was very nice to meet these girls and we had a great time .
You also will meet some great people along the way .

We have our nonrefundable tickets so we're on our way! My 24 year old daughter and I will be arriving in SJPP on september 23rd and starting our camino on September 24th. I made reservations for first night at Bierlari (i think is the spelling) and have sent email to orrison but haven't heard back yet. We're taking the first few weeks a bit slow to see how we do so decided to split the first leg with a stop in Orisson.
so looking forward to meeting anyone starting on the 24th!
