Try WarmShowers but be aware they are experiencing difficulties with their email system so message several in the area. Also some hostels / hotels will have storage, those out of town will probably have larger facilities
Stop at the next bike shop or Decathlon for a new pair (or two). Losing stuff off your bike or leaving things behind in the hotel / hostel is all grist to the travel experience.

Interesting, are there more surfers than peregrinos in October? Most of the surfers will be in camper-vans not sleeping in the albergues / hostals / hotels, surely?
