Pepper spray availability in Santander
Not sure where you would find this, perhaps make an inquiry to a local. I’ve been on that route and didn’t encounter any of the mentioned threats. I must tell you in the extremely unlikely event you surprise a bear a can of pepper spray won’t help. Breathe in, breathe out.- jabrown

Agree, and in those circumstances professional help should be sought out. Being defined by past traumas is a continuation of victimhood. Case in point, denying oneself an extremely liberating experience like a solo walk.- jabrown
