Bring My Own Walking Cane

It's unlikely you will be able to take it onboard due to it's length. Simply add it to your checked baggage.

For those who have walked the Camino 2 or more times

Plan to take your time, don't hurry to the night's destination, dont fall in with other's schedules, go with the aim to better understanding and appreciate what the various rural and urban landscapes have to offer. Be inquisitive.

Pilgrim shame

As with many other aspects of life people only deceive themselves if they say "I walked the camino" when in fact they didn't. All that is important is you know you walked all the way. And that's to your credit.

General advice

The going is generally flat to undulating...only some hills. Mostly marked with the yellow arrows but be wary that you may come across red and blue arrows showing the direction of local walks. Yes, you may spend many days on your own both walking and at alberguies. There are 2 apps available...
