    Definitely boots. I feel more save with half high boots because I have weak ankels. Even on the Camino Portugues Senda Litoral which is morely flat. But it would be interesting to split it out in ages. I'm 68, live in a flat country.

    I walked overthere early May 2016 and had problems too! Started in Burgos and was sick a few days later. I thought I should take it more easy or didn’t drink enough but it must have been the water it self! Eyeopener after 3 years.

    Hi Barbara, I'would like to know or you were satisfied by this scheme and if it was easy to find your way. Is the coastal route well marked? I suppose it was easy to find sleeping places in January? I'm planning for next year (may) and walked Camino Frances before. Far to busy by now.
