Forgive me if already in a thread somewhere, but any search for the above brings up basically every post ever written!
Did anyone get to see the premiere? Dying to know what it's like as the trailer looks amazing.
Interesting article on the Camino Lebaniego where Cantabria are receiving 1.4m euros towards the Camino. Seems it is part of a Euro 64m project across Spain, France and Portugal.
Edit due to more news for the Vadniniense. Plans to put out to tender and re-open the municiple Albergue in...
Yes, pardon me.
So I've just read this cool article about the closing of the Puerta del Perdón in the Monastery of Santo Toribio for the holy year (and it is a very beautiful peurta for sure). It seems that the Spanish like places that pardon you. For instance the beautiful Alto del Perdón, and...
Ok bear with me. The book is weird, but I've started so I'll finish.
In the book, about halfway through is this:
"I skipped along a mountain path with Ariel beside me. Then I entered a small village with a stream and a kind of swimming hole." Apparently where she was baptised (or baptized if...
Ok, so inspired by the "Has the Camino lost it's way" thread. What would people change to the current Camino (CF) to make it better in their own eyes/opinion whatever that may be (without breaking any forum rules obvs)? It could be stuff like removing or increasing the 100km etc.
As most of you...
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else saw this exhibition at the Pilgrim Museum in Santiago? It was an exhibition by a photographer of portraits of people when they started their Camino's and again when they finished their Camino's. It was really interesting and quite moving, and for sure the...
Hello all,
After a bit of advice/help/info. So my godson (14yr) has decided he wants to come and do a Camino with me which is great. We are restricted on time, so about 2 weeks, so I'm thinking the Primitivo (he's been dragged up numerous mountains in NW Spain before, so should be fine fitness...
So, going through my photos for the excellent "Long and winding road" post I suddenly remembered I'd detoured to Yuso Monastery from Najera - an apparently short beautiful well-marked slight detour on the way to Santa D according to some blog post I'd read in all my starry-eyed pilgrim...
I was wondering if anyone has seen this film? And if so, is it good? And, where if in the UK (or Jersey) you can stream it from?
A Camino friend recommended it to me, but I can't find anywhere I can watch it.
Apologies for the duplication as also posted this on an old thread which might not...
So as not to clog up other threads thought it would be good to start a new thread.
What stories do people have about wildlife they have seen on their Camino's? Or other general wildlife-related Camino stories? Or maybe even wildlife-related Camino folklore?
As mentioned on another thread, some...
As a follow-up to a recent thread, one of the riding schools I follow on Instagram from NW Spain have just put out some potential routes for this year, some which are for the Camino if of interest to anyone (although I'm what you could term "horsey" it's not something that appeals to me) 🐴
Hi all,
Just how busy is it potentially likely to be if you choose to walk the CF at this time? Realistically last two weeks of July and whole of August. I'm considering taking my godson, and logistically this is the only time we could get long enough to do it (at least until he finishes school!).

I'm just reading through @mspath wonderful Camino memories on her blogspot site that I happily stumbled upon from this forum.
Anyway, during 2011 there is mentioned a simple Albergue at the site, but I didn't see any sign of one when I visited in October, and there is nothing showing on Google...
Did anyone see this? Haven't seen it mentioned, but will be of interest:

Also a Times article just out but I couldn't read that without having to pay. . .
Hello all,
I urgently need to get my driving licence sent to Santiago by courier, but need an address to send it to. The post office or hire car company will not accept.
Can anyone help with a reliable safe address I can use to get it delivered to?
Thank you,
Dave
There was a really funny "15 things you can do to keep the Camino alive when you get home" list recently. I can't for the life of me find it anywhere though - can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you :)
