    Hi Jackie - I used a single fitted sheet with permethrin in 2012 - worked really well and no hassle.It fitted every mattress,didn't weigh much and worked.There were several occasions when pilgrims around me were bitten by bedbugs and I wasn't - it was worth taking. kiwiDave

    I took a single fitted sheet which was treated with permethrin and put my sleeping bag on top - seemed to do the trick as I was bite free for my Camino - did notice a few people getting bitten - maybe 5 or 6.I think it's a worthwhile precaution - Dave
