Consider Burgos to Leon on the French Way. That is 8 stages ranging from 19 to 27 km each day. Burgos Cathedral is a must see. If you find 8 days too many you can catch the train from Sahagun to Leon ( half way between Terradillos and Bercianos) or to your airport of exit. Sahagun has...
The Camino is a fantastic experience. Most people start solo but come away with friends.
Remember a few words or phrases:
Gracias - thank you
Disculpe - excuse me
Donde esta banyo - where is the bathroom
This works also for the Camino - donde esta Camino
Throw in a por favor ( please) in to...

Consider flying in to Bilbao. From there a train will get you to Burgos quite conveniently . Either pick up the Camino or take the bus along the N120 to Logrono
I walked from the airport at Porto to Vila Cha on 18 April. The coast was grand. I walked on to Vila Conde on 19 April. It was a dry hot day and walking on the loose sand was tiring. I then switched to the Central Route to Rates .
Is the Coastal route north of Vila Conde good, I.e. no loose...
O'Cebreiro is normally tight. I walked past it to Liñares (another 3-4 km) or so where I stayed at the Linar do Rei while has a mix of private rooms with bathroom and some private rooms with a shared bathroom. The accommodation is modern and lovely. There is a kitchen with a microwave.

I am not a fan of the poncho though they are popular. I use a waterproof jacket and have a waterproof cover for my rucksack. In addition I have dry (Waterproof) bags for my stuff which holds/ organise things in the rucksack.
My stuff has not yet got wet irrespective of the weather.

I have always used twin layer hiking socks and till date have not had a blister. Yes drying them takes longer.
Merino wool has good reviews but I have seen some users with horrible blisters
It is about the combination of socks with footwear. If this is your first major hire remember that your...

Better option is a pension close to the station. There are a few
I will be doing my second Camino in 3 weeks. I have reached a level of fitness that I am happy with and don't plan any long hikes but only shorter 5 to 8 km walks till the last week as I don't want to pick up a strain or injury to start the Camino with
The Los Arcos to Logrono stage and the Logrono to Najera stages a long totaling 58 km. You may consider doing it in 3 stages with breaks at Viana and Navarette.
Viana is a nice small town with some nice restaurants and cafes. I stayed at the albergue Alfred Munoz which was quite nice.
The...

The Camino is a great experience and is a mix of solitude and companionship.
I started alone from Pamplona in March 2022 and during my Camino I met some great people. Albergues are a very social experience and you will meet people you want to walk with. During a day you may walk with...
Easter is a very busy hence bad time to walk as half of Spain will be there.
Consider using pensions. In Google maps click on the hotel Tab and that will bring up all the hotels, hostels and albergue in the area. Either contact them directly on WhatsApp or via Booking.com etc. If your plans are...
I left Astorga on 07 April 2022 for Foncebadon. We had the wind in our faces across the plain and the last 6 km to Foncebadon was uphill. There are 3 - 4 hostels in Foncebadon. I stayed in the Convento and the room was good. There is a hostel in the centre of the village where most pilgrims...
