    Boots or Hokas

Hello, Shoes are one thing, but don't forget the socks. Socks can change the feel of the shoes. I used Smartwool socks but changed to Injinji dual socks (Coolmax inner and Merino exterior). Made quite a difference for me. The Hoka Speedgoats 5 are used up quickly and are smaller in the front...

    Merino Wool Shirt Sheep Smell

I don't have any issues with the Icebreaker brand, but others can be itchy. I have itchy problems with Jack wolfskin and some Decathlon t-shirts. But none of them smell like 🐑 🤔

Compostela for Santiago - Finisterre - Muxía - Santiago?

@David Tallan You are right for a Muxiana and Fisterrana, but some will be disappointed to read that the bureau is closed when you arrive and only goes open after you started walking the next day 🤔 Another excuse to walk it again 😉

Compostela for Santiago - Finisterre - Muxía - Santiago?

Hi all, My walking buddy and I walked from Santiago de Compostella to Muxia, then to Fisterra and then back to SdC taking the Camino passing Cee and we got our Compostela in 2022. I walked it for a friend who had cancer at that moment (Vicarie Pro). My walking buddy for himself. So yes it is/was...

Do you need to stay at an albergue to access their luggage transfer service?

My walking buddy has a back problem and can't support a lot off weight, so he used transfer service to Albergues (private room), Hostals and private accomodations. There was never any problem.

Do you need to stay at an albergue to access their luggage transfer service?

@CWBuff I just wanted to mention that you have to check the companies in order to know the rules. Correos was a big suitcase before, this year it has changed, even the weight. If you want to make something else of it...

Do you need to stay at an albergue to access their luggage transfer service?

What was last year (and before) is perhaps not this year. Have a look at Correos: only backpack and cabin suitcase 15kg max. Max 60km between 2 points. I didn't checked other companies. Buen Camino 🤞🍀

Do you need to stay at an albergue to access their luggage transfer service?

It is simple, look whatever provider you use on the list departure Village and hotel/etc pickup (drop down menu) --->arrival village/city and hotel/etc..., and so on... Watch out what size you are allowed to use for transport!

    Interactive Map

@C clearly I used it to create Camino preparation routes at home on my laptop and used it afterward on my Garmin GPSMap64. Worked fine. Normally all the Camino's are already on the maps. There are regularly updates. I think that like all the phone GPS mapping Apps it will drain the battery...

Help with sello and other questions

@SabsP Was perhaps a bit short in words🤔 The OP is planning his visits and taking the bus to Redondela which is only 84,7km from Santiago. He wrote that he wants to go for the 'certificate', but he's not paying attention to the route to walk, he is more planning his visit. You can visit and...

Help with sello and other questions

You need to walk minimum the last 100km to qualify for 'the certificate' -> accreditation of the pilgrimage is called "The Compostela". Calculate your route so that you have the necessary stamps for those last 100km! The Camino is not a vacation... Buen Camino
