Recommendations for a sunhat which doesn’t make my head sweat.

I use this rain or shine in my CF and CP. and it seems like it will last until my planned Del Norte + Primitivo. It is very cheap and lightweight.

    Epipen storage

As long as the gels are pumped up and the frio bag is not exposed to sun then your pens will be fine.

    Epipen storage

Best not to let it evaporate to keep the coolness of the gel. I put the frio bag inside a ziplock and wrapped it with all my clothes. When I get to my destination, I let it air or put it inside the fridge if available. I carried four pens in my Camino Frances and 2 pens during Camino Portuguese.

I just wrapped it with my towel and made sure it's in the middle of my pack. I walked mid-Sept to mid-Oct, started early everyday (5-6 am) and done by noon.

    insulin inquiry

If an albergue has a refrigerator ask them if you can leave your frio overnight (expand the gel). I did this every 3 or 4 days and my insulins were ok for 30 days.

Camino Frances in September - experiences

I did it last year started mid-Sept and I find it quite pleasant, not too crowded until you hit Sarria. I start my day between 5-6 am and am done by noon as it still can get hot by mid-day. I was already out of SdC when the continuous downpour happened on the 3rd week of October.

Just to add, when I did the Frances for 30 days last year my 3 girls at home were assured with google services (gmail, drive, maps and photos). None of us in the family have SocMed.

Which apps for family to track me

Same here, google maps is one of the best location sharing for families. Just be sure you have unlimited data connection.

Which should I take? Sleeping bag or liner?

I would say a liner if you want to reduce your weight. I did CF last year mid-Sept to mid-Oct and in some albergue I didn't even use it, I used my quickdry towel instead.

If there are too many pilgrims, what is a pilgrim to do?

Over tourism is a hot topic nowadays in Europe, maybe soon we might see some sort of tax implementation of this in the main Camino routes 🤞.
