Thanks, and thank you for your response to my very unclear post. I am doing the Norte/Primitivo, so I was hoping that most of the road walk was after the split. So I will take all the alternates/variant routes and then go to the Primitivo.

Class of 2019

Planing for Norte/Primitivo start around the end of May 2019. Have all the gear, just need to tune up the itinerary!

Water on Primitivo

How is the water availability on the Primitivo? Are there plenty of fountains or do we have to carry lots? Do we need to carry filter/treatment?

Water fountains on the Norte

So do we need to carry 2-3 liters of water? Do we need to bring filter/treatment to get water from creeks/lakes?

Compass and GPS

Do I need to bring a compass and/or a GPS to walk the Norte/Primitivo?

Please remember where you are...........

If you are walking the Camino, and you expect to have low temps, like 32F, wouldn't you be prepared for that? Wouldn't you be carrying not only warm clothing but also a good low temp sleeping bag? Wouldn't you use your sleeping bag/quilt in the albergues, pensiones, hotels, casa de huespedes, etc?
