    Primitivo. Vs Invierno?

Well I’m sure every November will be different but I had no rain at all, chilly nights but nice daytime temperatures for walking.

Paulo Coelho's "The Pilgrimage" to be made into a Netflix movie

Nope to any mind-altering drugs. I’ve read all of and like Cohelo’s books but then I’m also a Murakami aficionado. 🤷‍♀️

Paulo Coelho's "The Pilgrimage" to be made into a Netflix movie

Contrary to most here, I’ve read all his books and am an aficionado. I read both the Alchemist & The Pilgrimage before even learning about or walking my first Camino.

I remember sharing breakfast with you at San Martin Pinario and hearing your experience volunteering at the pilgrims office. 😊

    How to Volunteer in SdC?

My caminos usually end in Santiago in November and I’ve met quite a few volunteers at breakfast in the San Martin Pinario Seminary so hoping they might need a polyglot in the dreary winter months.

    Accommodations near Madrid airport?

See the attached Google map snapshot. There’s a huge walkway over the highway but not shown on this map. I circled the area. It’s really 4” from Hostal Viky or the Hostelfly. The areas all residential and the greenery is a children’s park. I strolled it in the evening and saw the walk across.

    Accommodations near Madrid airport?

Just overnighted there. Very good. Easy to get to, the Old Town Barajas is nice for a stroll & light dinner. One can walk to T2 or use VIKY’s free shuttle. A 10 for me.

Surprised at our test results poncho vs jacket

I’m a GG Kumo (with an inexpensive Karimor 10L dry sac) and UL kilt/skirt gal too without umbrella 😉 best combo for comfort, effectiveness and above all lightweight functionality. Altus poncho now weighs 350gm (was over 500 gm) at the expsense of material quality but still too heavy for me vs my...

Surprised at our test results poncho vs jacket

Rain jacket plus a RAIN KILT (very ultra lightweight, quick on and off, fits in a shoulder strap pocket, easy to put on and take off, wind & waterproof and keeps pants and underwear dry). For me a poncho has 1 use vs a rain jacket can be worn even if not raining and the kilt can be used as a...

    Plantar fasciitis.

My first case of PF was on the Camino del Norte. I hobbled into Santiago then 6 months of physio and cortisone injections followed before I could walk Pain-free. Since then Ive walked a few very long Caminos always in HOKA shoes (BONDI or STINSON or SPEEDGOAT depends on terrain I anticipate)...

    Theft at Roncesvalles

🤦‍♀️ Roncevalles has bunk bed-side lockers so hopefully thefts weren’t by breaking into lockers.
