    Last minute footwear dilemma!

I've heard it said that trail shoes take very little breaking in, which is why I'm considering it at this late stage.

    Last minute footwear dilemma!

Yikes!! Does everyone's feet grow permanently as a result of all this walking? That could prove to be expensive to replace all my shoes and boots post camino! I hear your message though.

Thank you for your comments. What time of year did you walk?

    Last minute footwear dilemma!

I have been reading your posts about wearing sandals...I'm not brave enough for that on my first Camino! I know it works for you, and I will keep it in mind. Thanks!

    Last minute footwear dilemma!

Funny, I just bought 2 pair of injinji liner socks that I have started wearing. I haven't had a long hike in them yet, but I like the concept. I have been wearing a medium cushion icebreaker sock above it. I bought the lightest I could find... the performance run 2.0. I tried those Salomon shoes...

    Last minute footwear dilemma!

The final countdown is on...with 6 days to go before I leave, I am having doubts about my footwear! I have been training on Salomon Comet 3D, a low rise boot. It has been cool here (below zero) and they have been good for training in Toronto. With the weather warming, my feet have been sweating...

    April /May/June 2016 Peregrinos - Camino Frances

I am on your time frame and am dealing with an ankle injury...I will be only going as far as Orrison on my first day. Where will you stay in SJPP? I hope you can figure something out. Laser treatments?

    April /May/June 2016 Peregrinos - Camino Frances

I am arriving in SJPP late on April 7th, and will start walking on the 8th, but only as far as Orrison on the first day, as I will be jet lagged!

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

It's amazing all the information on here...I feel like I've done parts of the trail already, minus the pain from reading all of these amazing posts! Thanks for your distillation of water source research.

I can't seem to find the product you are suggesting, but I get the idea and it's a good one. Thank you.

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

Thx. I'm going to try and fill it once a day only and carry a reserve half litre bottle, so hopefully I won't have to access it by day.

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

I am hearing a lot of good things about the Source bag!

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

I'm curious to know where the trampoline didn't fit your back...did it dig in at the bottom on the sides? I'm still trying to decide between the Exos and the Kyte...neither of which is 100% prefect, but both are the best by far of what I have tried on. I have learned from this forum that I need...

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

I discovered that right after I posted my question! Makes sense...

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

Were you missing the long wire brush for cleaning the tubing? Mine only weighs 1.5 oz, so I think I'll bring it. I like the denture cleaning tablet idea. Will you carry them with you? Perhaps the shops along the Camino have small packages of things available for us pilgrims for only a few uses...

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

Thank you for the reply. I'd love to go smaller, but there is no way I can do it right off the bat...I'm normally a 20 lb kinda girl for a week away, so I think I'm doing well, and I may shed as I go, but I don't want it named in, I'd rather have some room than packed to the gills. If it were...

Exos 46 Pack and water access...

Hello! I am considering the Osprey Exos 46 pack, and I wondered about the small opening for the water bladder tube as well as having to open the pack every time I wanted to refill the bag. Is this a total pain, or perhaps you don't use the provided tube exit point and just run it out of the pack...

Help! Trying to lighten my load for a trip in April/May

Thank you for your response. I am always freezing, and I have read that it can be snowy and very windy at that time of year...you're sure I can shed all of these warm things in the top half of the post and the sleeping bag?

    Wool vs synthetic for?

To all you experts and veterans, I am unsure weather or not I should take a thin wool long and short sleeved shirt or a synthetic one...the wool is so comfortable to wear for sweaty endeavours, in hot or cold weather, and it is stink resistant. After reading about the bed bug posts, should they...
