I just got back on July 3, and spent two nights at San Martin..the last several days of my Camino, I developed terrible tendonistis and had been icing it every night. Upon arriving my first night, I asked if I could get some ice (I had a Ziplock bag) for my leg. I got a very snotty "No. But...

Sock configuration with sneakers (running shoes/trainers)

Hi I'm going to be walking from Leon to Santiago in June 2013...I bought a pair of light weight hiking shoes and have been breaking them in, but leave my running shoes in the car to switch into after the practice hikes. My feet always say "Ahhhh...sweet relief" getting into the running...

Essentials to know when going between June and September

I'm starting in Leon mid-June...I've been searching the internet and in here for weather issues...so...yes to expecting some rainy days?? gaiters or not? temps? I know it's all variable, but I can't seem to find even a prediction! :oops: Thanks for any help!

Solo this June?

I'm also a female who is going to be walking part of the Camino (starting in Leon) solo this June...you won't be alone...but it's ok to still feel nervous about it! I do!

I've been looking through lots of different websites and camino forums and can't find an agreed upon the distance from Leon to Santiago (walking, of course!)...What I've found is between 152-199 miles...I found several that say around 187, is that the most accurate?
