    Busses to Finisterre

The bus station is a bit out of the centre of Santiago. To get bus information in the centre of Santiago, you can go to the tourist information desk. It is marked on every map you will find there. They gave me a small card with all hours for Arriva busses to Finisterre and back.

    Santiago to Finisterre

Because I arrived 2 days too early in Santiago, I took a bus to Fisterra (Finisterre), and spent a night there. Compared to Santiago, Finisterre is not touristic at all. In fact, the first hours I thought I was at the wrong place. But after asking some fellow pilgrims for advice, I found it...

What happens when the refugios are full?

    Hotel in Léon

Hi Paulus, Indeed, we are approximately doing the same trip. The only thing is, we will start in Astorga (bus in the morning the day after the flight) because we only have about 12 walking days. I have not yet considered the train, but maybe I should do so! It is a lot cheaper than the...

    Hotel in Léon

Hi, Next month I will do the last part of the camino to Santiago. I have booked a plane to Valladolid and will take the alsa bus to Léon, where I will arrive later in the evening. Does anybody knows a good place to sleep for my first night in Léon: hotel, hostels, refugio,... ? All ideas...

    Easy walk

If you have about 10 days, I would recommend Ponferrada, about 200 km from Compostela. I have about 12 days and will be starting in Astorga, which is 50 km further down the Camino.
