Puy en velay to Conques in 7 days?

Hi Nadia, I just came back from walking 15 days with my partner on the Chemin du Puy. We reached Conques in 7 days but there were definitely some long challenging days in there. Checkout my blog if you like especially the final post I made as I have a table of each of our days, length, ascent...

    Camino Fátima albergue issues

Sorry I don't see anything in my blog or pictures with the name of the albergue near the shrine. I do have one picture but all it is of the room and beds:) - all I remember is it was very close to the shrine and was very thankful to be able to stay there because it was the centennial...

I don't think you'll be disappointed - I've completed the Via DiFrancesco in 2 pilgrimages - Florence to Assisi in 2019 and last May Rome to Assisi. If interested, you can take a look at my blog from last year when I walked Rome to Assisi although you're going in the other direction you'll most...

    Deciding among a few Caminos

Thanks for the info, appreciate it! And yes agree regarding the experience of the candlelight procession, I experienced that in my pilgrimage to Fatima during the Centennial celebration there - unforgettable. Have you ever done either of the variants on the Via Podiensis (Cele or Rocamadour)...

    Deciding among a few Caminos

Yes agreed, I think i would have to choose 1 of 2 endings - 1) end in Rocamadour 2) no variant straight thru on the Via Podiensis to Cahors. I think both of those are doable in 12-13 days. Looks like the Cele variant instead of the Rocamdour variant would also be to ambitious in 12-13 days.

    Trying to include Lourdes

Thank you for the info @JabbaPapa . I should have rephrased my question a bit though - when I said "easy" I wasn't really concerned about the difficulty of the route as far as big climbs, descents in the mountains as I've done Primitivo and Via DiFrancesco which are both challenging routes, I...

Best Toe Sock Liners for Hiking: Comparing Injini Coolmax and Nuwool Liners with Smartwool Merino Socks

The Injini Coolmax toe socks were a Godsend for me! I had major blister problems on my first camino in 2015 and a couple of hiking trips after where I continued to have blister problems. LIVE from the Camino Currently on the Primitivo

Yes during the mountain legs I did pull out my light wind jacket and even my zip up fleece - on Hospitales as it was a beautiful sunny day but very cool and windy at the peak! I also just brought a liner and have been plenty warm at night but I assume that’ll be changing soon
