    Baamonde to Boimil

    I walked the northern route earlier this year. It's an easy and shorter walk than the southern. I was unimpressed with Baamonde so walked another 7.5km to A Probra de Parga, a very nice albergue with communial dinner and breakfast. Iti s then 24.3km to Sobrado.

    I carried 1.5L and never ran out. I drink 1L before leaving in the morning and don't need to drink again for 2-3 hours. You will find some fuente along the way but I never used them.

    Accommodation up to Zamarramala can be trickey, especially on weekends as places close to Madrid are popular hikeing locations. From Zamarramala it is fairly straight forward. Highlights for me are albergues in Puente Duero, Villalon de Campos and Santervas de Campos.

    Just going off the previous comment about the full albergue. I didn't mean to imply that it was wall to wall walkers.

    I will be a few weeks behind you but it sounds like it may be advisable to book ahead for albergues in some places. It seems that the Via is unusually busy.
