My photo was taken 2018-07-18 (08:36). It was in Burgueta. I started walking from Biarritz Airport, then Irun, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Burgos. My plan was to continue walk from Burgos on the ’Camino de San Olav’. but I didn't have time, so I rented a bike and cycled half of San Olav on a...
No help from me regarding alternative routs. I started from Biarritz airport to Irun (Markers after Saint-Jean-de-Luz). From Irun I followed the yellow arrows/Gronze map to Santo Domingo and then CF to Burgos. The route along the Orio river was mostly on asphalt, but did not worry me. The...
Kinkys guidebook was great! Google translator fixed the doc to my language. The details in the guide are still up to date. I finished Via Bayona last saturday, and I loved it!
Well, the stage Irun - Hernani was mountainous enough (and mudfy after the rain last night) for me. Managed to get to Tolosa where I rest up after a tough day. I have great help from your guide (with a little help from Google translator)
Well, walking alone is not worrying me. @KinkyOne, Maybe there will be some questions along the way. I think it will be Via de Bayona for me as well. @peregrino_tom, I will try to get in touch with the camino runner. @Kanga & @nycwalking, thank you!
Hola, your history is like mine. My father was operated this winter, so I decided to skip Camino Surestre in April and instead walk Via de Bayona in July. Thank’s for sending me your notes for that trip! If time permits, I will also try to get on Camino de San Olav (I'm Scandinavian). Buen Camino!
Zamora was my starting point some 25 days ago for the same journey as yours to come. Camino Invierno is great, and I hope you have the new guide. Congratulations on your achievement until now and good luck on your upcoming trip!
