    Dave, any thoughts on the following? What if the areas on a pack such as straps and belt that will rub against the wool had a Engo patch applied there or an equivalent such as a Teflon like house wrap (Tyvek or such)?

    I put some Engo heel patches in my Altras in an attempt to eliminate or reduce the wear on the inside heel. I wear orthotics which might exacerbate the wear on the inside of the heel. The heel patches are rated for 300 miles. :D:cool:

For blisters on the outside of the little toe, I recommend Engo pads https://goengo.com/ which are adhered to the inside of your shoe and stop the friction.
