New member very excited

Hi Steve: We just returned last week. Started 8/29 and finished 10/5 and had remarkably great weather. Only about 8-10 days hot mid-day temp, and only 3-4 with drizzle/rain, nothing really bad. We had NO foot or leg problems at all, but many people did. Many visited a medical center...

medical insurance

I just check with our Kaiser plan and they cover all emergency and urgent care while traveling, less your deductible. Pay the bill and submit a claim. Wow, I was relieved! Leaving on 8/26 and of course (!) there will be no need for this, but it is a relief to know it is there.

advice on trekking poles please

Hummm. I never considered checking in my backpack too. I think I'll pack up my poles (and tips!) and check them as luggage along with anything else that may not make it through TSA. If those things get lost along the way, I'll figure something out at the other end. I have a very bad attitude...

advice on trekking poles please

Does anyone know if you can take tracking poles on the airlines. Mine are telescoping and we are carrying on our backpacks.

We'll no doubt see you along the way. Leaving SJPdP on 8/29 and spending first night at Orisson. Taking first couple days easy to avoid problems on this first part. MaryEllen&Howard
