Wiring money question

Just in case anyone's interested, when wiring money via Western Union from the U.S. to Spain, the recipient can pick it up at any any Western Union location. This may be true of other countries too. I have never wired money overseas before, but thought this might be helpful information.

Hi Again, Thanks for your suggestions. I am trying to locate the Caja Espana on a map of the Compostela area, and can't seem to find it. Where is the new part of town in relation to the cathedral? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your responses. There is no emergency other than by the end of his pilgrimage he will be very low on funds. I don't know which refugio he will be at when he arrives that's why I just said the closest to the Compostela as I know he will be going to the cathedral for the pilgrim's...

Wiring money question

I need to wire money to my son who is currently on the camino. Does anyone know where the closest Western Union to the Compostela would be? There are about 15 locations on the western union site. Thanks.

Thank you for all your suggestions. It appears that Vueling or Transavia will be the way to go via Barcelona.
