I was able to book something on Booking.com. What a contrast to drop into the Grand Via from the Camino. Quite the contrast. I’m set for my rest and thank you all for your help.

All you wonderful helpers—it seems like there must be a big convention. Both are booked. Does anyone know a safe and quiet 2-star near the train station. I can walk there and my flight is later in the day on Thursday. Thank you.

Unfortunately I’ve become too ill to continue—I have a flight from Madrid on Sept 19. Can anyone suggest a safe and quiet hotel in Madrid for tonight and tomorrow? I’m so sad I can’t Go on. I’ll return and finish in the future. Buen Camino to you. Thank you.
