"Camino Voices" is no guide or diary of the Camino Frances, but a collection of humorous, insightful and often moving comments made by over 500 long distance walkers. For their own diverse and profound reasons, these brave people undertook the arduous trek reaching from the French Pyrenees across northern Spain to Finisterre, Europe's most westerly point.
Physically unable to walk alongside his wife, the reluctant author, Iain Dryden, drove his beaten-up van along El Camino, sketching the walk as he went. His drawings and observations stitch together hundreds of individual, soul-searching journeys. As his sketchbook-journals filled up, many walkers asked him to create and publish this illustrated book. Recording their own words, "Camino Voices" honours the achievement of these individuals from around the world as they take on the ancient pilgrim's way called El Camino.
