Camino Frances 15th May 2025 Start
Flight booked to Biarritz 14th May arriving 1835, just trying to sort transport to SJPP as too late for bus and trains. Intacted Express Bourricot and they can take me for 140 euro. If 3 others are on that Paris flight 1705 the the price will be 35 euros each, let me know.

I plan to walk to Santiago booking accomodation the day before or on the day staying at Hostels, Albergues. 1st stop after SJPP will be Burgette, after that who knows. I typically walk fast and enjoy.the hills.

My pack will be 4.5kg total, no sleep bag. Just a liner.
I walked the Ruta Natural last year then the Ingles in constant rain and thought that would be it, but hey ill do this route.
Regards

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I would be very surprised if Express Bourricot does not fill, or almost fill their van for that date in May. And as you know, each passenger must have an advance reservation via email, so they will need to contact EB themselves.

If you walk fast and enjoy the hills... you could also sleep in Bayonne (next to Biarritz), then take the first train in the morning and still make it to Roncesvalles (or maybe even Burguete) in time for dinner. Or if you want to spend a little more time in Saint Jean, visit the town, start after lunch and only walk to Orisson/Borda.

edit:
1) If you go for the Orisson/Borda option you might enjoy an absolutely stunning sunrise in the mountains if the weather does its part.
2) If you really love mountain walking look up the Ruta Dragonte further down the road for a great experience.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

If they go for the Orisson/Borda option, they need to reserve NOW!

Thanks for advice but have booked LORENTX ATERPEA already, my intention is get to SJPP on the night 14th and set off by 0930 on.15th.

Do you have a place booked in SJPdP? Since you are planning to walk all the way to Burguete I recommend that you get a much earlier start than 9:30.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

If he/she is a good walker, I'd say it can be fine to start at that time. 7h to Burguete is not out of this world.

No not yet looking at options..happy to take a recomendation.. i figured 7 hours walking with an hour or two of breaks on top.
I Am a.regular thru hiker and usually carry my tent, cooking kit etc...I am looking forward to it.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Its he.
Also like yourself my kit and bag are all very light materials.
Just saying, my biggest regret from my first crossing SJPDP to Roncesvalles was not spending more time in those beautiful mountains... so the second time i stayed in Orisson. Hence the recomendation. Hope you'll have good weather, it's a stunning scenery.

Another reason to start early - to have more time to relax up in the mountains. 😊
