Question for Brooks Ghost wearers

I wore Brooks Ghost on my camino last year. I loved them but they're worn out now so I bought a new pair. They're Ghost 16. I don't know what my old pair were but I bought them in 2023 so I guess they were 15s? These feel the same but my hips hurt after a long walk and they don't seem to breathe as well. It's not that my feet sweat but I want to take them off ASAP after a walk on a warmish day. Has anybody else found a difference?

Give back to the Camino. Join us from Logroño to Burgos May 30 to June 8.
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Sadly, most high end shoe manufacturers change their shoes every year, as you've found. Sometimes for the better, but that's an extremely individual perception.

Go hunt down 15s in your size in online outlets. You being from Canada, I can't say what's available to you.

May I make a suggestion to try another pair of Brooks. I have been wearing the Brooks Cascadias for all 9 of my caminos. I walk anywhere from 850-1100 kilometers on all my caminos. I have not had a blister in the last 10 years. I buy a 2 wide and a size bigger. I know we all walk differently and put stress on different parts of our shoes and body. But I can tell you I am wearing the Cascadias I just took on my Camino and intend to wear them until next year when I go again. I know they get pretty ratty and begin to fall apart, wear down eventually and will have virtually no cushion of course but I will continue to wear them for my daily walks. I walk between 6 and 10k almost every day. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I had a succession of ghosts over the last few years. They would last me my usual 800 km pilgrim walks, then the profile was gone and I would replace them I truly believed I was in shoe heaven. The last pair I bought in my usual size was narrower and smaller and I had to buy new shoes after a few days on the Vezelay Route, which involved hitchhiking to the nearest town, bought Solomons, not quite right for my feet.....a real nuisance...now I am stuck again for footwear...
