Dear members and friends of Camino:

We would like to inform you that DANA and the torrential rains that have devastated our province have also destroyed our Mozarabe Way.
Specifically, the stages from Malaga to Almogía and later to Villanueva de la Concepcion and Antequera are CLOSED.
Just like the Almogía and Villanueva de la Concepción Shelters, they are also CLOSED. Our recommendation is to start from Antequera that is passable. Unfortunately this situation could continue over time.

Once the current poor state can be corrected, together with the respective institutions, we will inform you.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Do they have any idea when it will be possible again to walk from Malaga. Will it not be possible for weeks or month? Or even longer?
Gronze currently has a warning on their page for the Málaga - Almogía stage that pilgrims are advised to start after Antequera. I would continue to check that page.

Thanks @trecile .
Latest Feedback from the Asociación Jacobea de Malaga "The first three stages from the Junta de los Caminos, in Puerto del la Torre, to Antequera remain closed. The worst part is in the area of Almogia. The shelters are open only to people who lost their homes."

Met two pilgrims (between Villanueva de la Concepción and Antequera) who confirmed the route from malaga to Antequera is easily manageable, contrary to what gronze and the Mozarabe association have communicated. They both recommended phoning the destination Albergue in advance to confirm accommodation is open and available. Thanks to Oliver (from Benalmadena) and James (from the Netherlands) for their insight and photos. See attached photos provided by our Spanish pilgrim. Route near Almogía is still soft under foot.
