Hi,

I know this is a long shot, but I'm going to ask an off the wall question. I'd like to send a thank you note to Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez regarding the Camino for their involvement in making the movie, "The Way." You see, I’m over 60, 100 pounds overweight, and have bad knees. It took me over 10 years after I first saw the movie to get up off my couch and actually start walking. But I did it...

I've recently completed my second Camino this year. My first was last year. Both Caminos I did a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders. Last Year I set a goal initially of $2000 and raised $16,501.00. This year my initial goal was $20,000.00 and I've raised $36,274.52. If my math is correct, the total raised for this year and last year - $52,775.52.

I'm NOT asking them for anything. I just wanted to say thank you for producing the movie "The Way" and to let them know of the good work the movie continues to do.

I have a note written that I am hoping to email to both Mr. Sheen and Mr. Estevez, but I have no idea how to contact them. I've looked on line and I don't see a valid email or contact information for either.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Respectfully,

Keith

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

That movie was the impetus for my wife and I to walk the Camino. unfortunately she succumbed to a decades long fight with breast cancer. However? She will be joining me for every step next year. Congratulations by the way, for completing your first Camino... Will be doing mine in May of 25.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Thanks for the links. I did see those links, however, it appears that those links are more for booking engagements, etc. I know I'm gonna show my age, but I remember way back in the day I used to be able to write to a famous athlete and usually get a response.

Like I said, I'm not asking them for anything...I just want to say thanks and let them know a movie they made over a decade ago is still inspiring people and doing good in the world.

Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the great ideas! Doing a bit of work I've managed to find the agent for Mr. Sheen on line. I've sent the agent and her company a message asking them to pass along my note of thanks.

Fingers crossed.

I’m really pleased for you and that you attribute your motivation to walk to the film. I hope you carry on.

There are two sides to every coin and a proportion of Spain would like over-tourism to stop - perhaps you might ask them to consider another country if The Way 3 is ever in prospect?

The Way was my motivation to walk, too, and I will always have a soft spot for the film. It was a "bucket list" item that surprisingly has kept filling up to overflowing.

Maybe do a google search for each of their agents?
