Its quite cold here in the UK now, winter is upon us and the sun sets by 16.00hrs, so the days are short and the nights long.
So this just adds to those endless hours thinking about past Caminos and looking forward to the next....
I have always loved those wonderful bronze shells embedded in the paving slabs that guide us on our journey toward Santiago de Compostela.
They appear in most of the major towns and cities along The Way and so I have been wondering just how many different designs there are and if other pilgrims have a favourite or have taken any photos ?
This is certainly one of the most iconic, and leads the way for pilgrims as we near the end of our Camino...

Anymore anyone ...?

I love this thread!😊 I know I have taken many pictures of bronze shell markers underfoot 🦶on my various Caminos.
I always enjoy threads that encourage pictures of similar items, or when forum members post Camino pictures.

I am also a fan of using and seeing emojis.😃 I think they are often fun and lighthearted, even though some members find them rather juvenile and I understand why.
OTOH, they can add a bit of clarity to better understand the meaning behind certain posts, which is sometimes helpful.

Thanks for your post @Camino Chrissy and glad you are joining in the fun of this thread.
I'm wondering just how many different bronze marker designs there are and curious to know people's favourites. Am hoping someone has that special 'footprint one' in Belorado (?)

does not count - thats a SILVER shell! 🤣🤣🤣
And might I remind you that your contribution is painted gold.🤣
I was wondering what @trecile's shell of Martin Sheen's boot and handprint is made of, but then threads often "meander" a bit from an OP's title.
I have always liked Logrono's abstract Camino shell logo, btw.

'Gentle' meandering's okay...
There's another silver/stainless steel variation somewhere isn't there ?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I plead my color blindness ;)
Hmmm, good question... it does seem to be a bronze metal plaque imbedded into a brick square (but then I repeat my claim to being color blind....😌)
P.S. here some emojiis for you for a good measure @Camino Chrissy

Azofra - probably spent close to 10 mins just staring at that sign in some sort of stupor saying to myself "I cannot BELIEVE I walked 200km" (Of course roughly 2 weeks latar I'd be just as "stuporly" staring at the sign that said SdC 200km and thinking I cant BELIEVE its only 200 km left....)
